Hi,

I'm living in Shanghai and I would like to visit Hongkong and Macau on same trip. So, my question is how to make it in reasonable price and in four days?

I have heard that there are helicopters going from Shenzhen to Macau. Does anyone know something about that? And how about ferries from Macau to Hongkong? How long does it take and how much does it cost?

My preliminary plan is as follows:
1.
Roundtrip flights to Shenzhen from Shanghai, from Shenzhen to Hongkong direct with ferry and stay there three nights and visit Macau by ferry on one day and back to Shenzhen with ferry from Hongkong.

or

2.
Roundtrip flights to Shenzhen from Shanghai, from Shenzhen to Macau (I dont't know how), from Macau to Hongkong by boat? and from Hongkong back to Shenzhen with train.
I'm planning to stay one night in every place.
Maybe I'm too greed in this plan? : )

Thanks in advance for every idea!

Hi, ASA!

I think itinerary 1 is more reasonable.

Actually it's very convinient for you to take high-speed ferries called TurboJet among these three cities. You may find any detailed info you need at :
http://www.turbocat.com/turbojet_serviceroutes_rev.htm

If you also want to try helicopter, please try this web: http://www.helihongkong.com/

Good luck!

Hi,

I prefer the 2nd plan

From Shenzhen Airport in Baoan, you can take a taxi to Shekou, which has ferries to Macau. (I think the last ferry is arounf 1800-1900).

Take a ferry from Macau to TST(Kowloon) or Sheung Wan(Hong Kong Island) in HK.

From HK, take the KCR to Luowu customs and you are back in SZ.

Thank you for your advice. I made the trip last week. Roundtrip flight to Shenzhen from Shanghai (1700RMB). I took ferry (55min.) from Shenzhen to Hong Kong Island (180RMB). Last ferry 20.30. I visited Macau from Hong Kong Island with roundtrip ferry (1hour, rt-tickets around 350RMB). I saw in one day all the three islands with sightseeing bus (100RMB included admission tickets to Macau tower) the charge is normally 70RMB. I was also in casino in Macau but I didn't win any money : )
Back to Shenzhen with KCR-train (35RMB) to Lowu and from there with bus to airport (20RMB). Way back to Shenzhen was cheeper but more complicated and it took more time. All in all the trip was successful. I liked Hong Kong very much. I bought octopus-card for 150 RMB and I used that in all the public transportation.
