Many thanks for your assistance,I am interested in a Canon EOS 300D body kit with 18-55mm lense or a Canon EOS 20D with 18-55mm lense. I will be going to Shanghai also but starting my journey from Beijing. In advance your assistance would be much appreciated. Regards Don Macdonald.

HI,Don!

I check some webs for the price:

Cannon EOS300D
RMB 6000-6800 in Beijing
RMB 6660-7680 in Shanghai

Cannon EOS20D
12400-12800 in Beijing
12600-12800 in Shanghai

Different shops give different price. If you would not be cheated, shop around by all means!

DEE,Does those prices include a 18-55mm lense? Have looked at dutyfree Aussie prices and the Canon 20D cost's $2452.00 and the currency converted chinese price is approx $2,066.66 to $2,133.33 from Beijing. Another question is can they supply the camera with english words for the menu etc or only in chinese?
Thanks Don Mac.

Hi, Don

The price does not include the lens, a 18-55mm lens will charge CNY 800 extras. Do not worry about the menu, coz it will be in didferent translation including Chinese, English, French,Janpanese, etc.

Hope the message is useful!

HI!
The sites are all in chinese ,so i could inly check the price for you. In Beijing, the quotation of Canon Pro1 is around RMB6000, some shops quote at 5800 while some quote at 6600. If you'll buy the cemera at a digital product market, remember to shop around and negotiate price with the the seller. Good luck!
