![]() | An earthquake measuring 6.0 on Richter Scale hit Eastern parts of Indonesia this morning, Inonesian meteorology agency said in Jakarta. The quake broke out at 00:31 Jakarta time (17:31 GMT Tuesday). The epicenter was located at 40 kilometers northwest Rutent town of East Nusa Tenggara Province and at 30 kilometers under sea bed. Indonesia lies at a vulnerable zone where two continental plates meet. Hence, volcanic movements and earthquakes happened frequently. |
