While each of these famous figure may have become senile in their old-age we will never know because they died young. A better word would be 'a senior' or 'an aging'

It says that " senile" means " suffering from bodily or mental weakness because of old age". In this context, can I use "senile" to describe " the bodily weakness"? Or do you native-speakers seldom use the word when you mean that someone is physically weak because of old age? Anyway, thanks for your help! Bow! ^_^
