Living in the central part of China, Henan Province.
I like the people and the city, but the weather in the winter is cold, summer hot and humid. The sky is never really blue, reminds me of Ohio. I like the vista's, blue sky's with billowing clouds and mild weather year around.
I guess you could say I am spoiled, having lived in the San Francisco bay area most of my life, and worked in San Francisco where its pretty mild year around.

I like the coastal regions, but will condsider inland. I have heard Kunming is very nice. But I also prefer a smaller city.

What about others? In particular, the coastal area's.

Peace

Jim

I have lived along the coast, both in the northern, middle and the southern parts and find the weather is much the same as the rest of China as you described. I currently live in Yunnan, Lijiang city area... But it might be too cold here for your tastes. Although I also live in SF for awhile and thought it was fairly cold...

Is there anywhere except Hainan that is not cold in winter? I chose Guangdong for the weather but it was cold in winter (ie restauarants are unusable in winter as they are too cold). Equally it seems most places are hot to very hot in the summer.
