| Qufu Where Confucius Lived an died - Study, not worship. In the quiet woods A crane resides - Cypress, pine and flower. A sage lived here once And lives here still - Wise words and rectitude. Known as poet, too, He balanced infinitudes - Joining heaven and earth. Seven-five generations ago And now a muddy town - Tempe, gate and home. Worlds away The heart flies true - The right angle of virtue. |
