GUEST68169 oh...even chinese do not want to live there. it is bitterly cold for half a year.
"bitterly cold" means the temperature drops to -40 C occasionally and stays under -10 C pretty much every day.

unless you are interested in oil industry, i see no reason to stay there... However, it is still a medium-sized city, and nothing is too bad other than the climate.

Hi...I have a daughter and boyfriend that have moved over to Daquing to teach for a year. They have only been there for a couple of weeks. They have also worked in the south of China. They love it so far as cleaner and able to find more english food....ie ketchup, peanut butter, jam etc. ha..ha...important stuff!!! They have taken their snow boarding gear and look forward to the snowy winters...?they heard there was some sking/boarding areas around. They also have big winter feast there and in Harbin that they want to go see. Let me know if you have questions. hotmail.com|lynpat60

I left Daqing for over 10 years. I heard that city is much developed now. Not bad.
