Top Ancient : Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace, Beihai Park, Temple of Heaven are the top five must-see places in Beijing. In Summer Palace and Beihai Park, ancient architecture could also be traced.

GUEST75205 ELLYSE,

If I have 2 and 1/2 days ? Is there any not to missed modern architecture in Beijing ?

Is Beihai Park important or is it missable ? Is this Park popular because it's near to the Forbidden City ? Shall I give up Beihai and go for Song Qingling Old Residence and Lamma Temple if I am short of time ?

I'll be in Beijing for 11 days. Is the CCTV Headquarters building finished?

No idea about the CCTV thing, sorry.
For 2.5 days, try to see at least the National Museum, National Theatre, Water Cube and Bird's Nest.
Beihai Park is definitely far from my list of must-sees, especially if you only have 2.5 days.
I don't have any opinions for Song Qingling's former residence, but the Yonghegong Lamasery (Lama Temple, not Lamma Temple) is definitely a must-see.
