![]() | The severe flooding in South China has incured severe damages, claiming 171 lives. Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangdong Province were severely damaged. A number of houses and farmland have been submerged. More than 40 million people in 20 provinces have been affected by the flooding,according to the office of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters. In Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, nearly 1million people were forced to be evacuated. In the town of Longtou, people had to use bamboo rafts to move yesterday. ![]() |
