| Beichuan county, one of the worst-hit towns in the May 12th earthquake in China, was sealed off again on Thursday for epidemic prevention. The epidemic disease control is one of the top concerns for post-quake work. "On the concern of epidemic disease control, the closure will last a long time as the weather is heating up," according to Tan Jiamin, the county's public security bureau director. The clear-up of the remaning bodies is still underway. As the weather is heating up, the remaining bodies had become smelly, which was a hotbed for epidemic diseases. Over 600 police from Mianyang city have posted “special control”signs and sealed off the roads to Beichuan with two check points. The town will be disinfected daily by military and medical workers. |
