Changbaishan West side approach

NIEKIE Points: Join Date: Apr 6, 2008 Status: offline	Does anyone know about the practicalities of going up Baitoushan via the western slope? It's supposed to be very beautiful but I wouldn't know how to get there. The plan is to get to Changbaishan via Yanji. We'll most likely arrive in Yanji in the morning and will try to get to the mountain right away. Would anyone know where I can get bus schedules? I suppose we can get a bus to Erdobaihe and get to the mountain from there, but if we want to use the western approach, do we also go to Erdobaihe? I would appreciate any practical info you can give me about the western approach, as well as the northern (most used) approach . Thanks! Niekie
