If you could start to learn Chinese again, what would you do differently?

guestlinda For those who have learned Chinese for months or years, if you could start again to learn Chinese, what would you do differently? The reason is that I have found that I have made a lot mistakes that I shouldn't have made when beginning to learn Chinese. In other words, I spent a lot of time and energy doing something unuseful. Hope that everyone who read this post could tell your experience. I guess that it is good for those who just start to learn Chinese because they can avoid these mistakes after reading this post.
