Venus defeated her sisteru in one hour and 51 minutes. It was the seventh time that the two sisters met in a grand slam showpiece. Venus gained sweet revenge because she lost the fives finals agains her younger sister since she had beaten Serena at the 2001 US Open. Congratulations, Venus William!
