Can anyone share advice of how to find other English Speaking

BLUEYANKEE44 Points: 349 Join Date: Sep 27, 2005 Status: offline	I am wondering if anyone,can direct me to some area in Guangzhou,where there are English speaking people,and where they hang out. I see very few people and hardly no Americans,to speak with. maybe someone can show me. Thanks

Thanks Sonia 1985; Its nice of you to respond.There are many people whom speak English in Guangzhou,if you have the resources to visit same areas and
restaurants.The main Question should be,is how do you get them to talk to you,for over a minute or two.Most English speakers are not American here,as opposed
to being from Sweden,Germany,England,Australian,etc.Most Americans are seemingly too busy to have any time. However where I live,I am the only American,
until the Canton Fair.Then the Americans who do appear,are with translators and have no time,and most are all Big Business.However one does not have to know
much chinese to communicate in my area,as most are familiar with me,and are very helpful,and understanding. Those whom do know English prefer not to do so,
for one reason or another.Except for a few incidentals life here is relatively easy and quaint. Now I am wondering just what treat you have seen and was created in
2005,and where in China? Thanks

BLUEYANK... I think you are right,there might be lot of English speakers in Guangzhou ,more are from Sweden,Germany,England,and other Eu countries.I merely met them while I met more of them in Shenzhen since i just visit Guangzhou 2 or 3 times a year to see my friend or to attend Fair.

I am sorry i have no idea about how to speak with them and to know them,Maybe you can go bar which foreigners used to go there?I don't know if Guangzhou have such kind of bar?My city do have though i am not used to go there except some celebrations(birthday,friends meeting)
