Overseas media’s views on China’s new banknote without the image of Chairman Mao

The pictures are absolutely beautiful! I have always been impressed with the beauty of China.

But back to the thread topic:

Little real information exists in the west concerning China, its leaders, new diections, etc., etc. So I think curiosity follows any change of something so visible as Chairman Moa not being on the new currency. Analysts are probably going mad trying to figure is this means a shift in China's policy, or if they are trying to move away from the Mao legacy and into a more modern world relationship. Whatever the analysts and political deep thinks imagine is happening may or may not be in touch with any reality.

In the west, so much of the good that Chairman Mao Zedong accomplished is overshadowed by perceived incidences of human rights violations and not so good things. So I am guessing the press is reading more into the matter than they should.
