When the May 12th earthquake happened, he ran out his classroom immediately. However, his students were all left in the classroom. Later on, he became notorious on the internet for his remarks: “In that situation, I would only consider sacrificing for my daughter. Even my mom was in danger; I wouldn’t risk my life to save her.” Many people condemn his behavior and remarks. Lujing, a very brave girl, once went to the quake-hit areas as a volunteer. There she almost lost her life. However, she didn’t retreat. After getting back to Beijing, she stayed at home and cried sadly for three days. Then she made a remark that she would marry Runner Fan if it was possible. She said: “Runner Fan is men’s model in this modern society. In this world which is full of lies and cheatings, Runner Fan is real and honest. Not everyone can be a hero. Fan Meizhong just reacted as a normal person in that situation. Those who didn’t experience the earthquake have no right to make comments on Fan Meizhong.” What do you think of her remarks? If you were a girl, would you marry Runner Fan?

Definitely not. I could understand why he ran out of the classroom alone. At that crucial moment, few people can keep calm. Many feel panic and just think about how to escape. I don't blame him for this. However, his words are unbearable.

"In that situation, I would only consider sacrificing for my daughter. Even my mom was in danger; I wouldn’t risk my life to save her.”

I won't my son/daughter inherite Fan's genes. If I married him, my son would do the same thing as his father did, only caring about his daughter and leaving me alone in danger. That would be soooooo bad.
