Crude oil prices dropped almost 7 U.S. dollars a barrel on Tuesday due to the fears that American economic woes could hurt global oil demand. It was the biggest one-day drop in 17 years(since Jan. 17, 1991 after the United States started the first Gulf War.)

August Brent crude oil plunged 5.17 dollars to settle at 138.75 dollars per barrel in London. The crude oil for August delivery fell 6.44 to settle at 138.74 per barrel in New York. Earlier Tueday, the crude fell to 135.92 dollars a barrel in New York.

Good!! This does not hurt my feelings at all.
Back in the 1980's we in the States were wondering (or concerned) when the price of gasoline would be $1.00 + per gallon.
Now in the present at $4.00 per gallon that concern seems trivial.
