Beijing Capital International Airport to be closed down during Olympics’ Opening Ceremony

According to China's State News agency Xinhua, Beijing Capital International Airport will be closed down during the Games' Opening Ceremony from 19:59 to 24:00 (Beijing Time) on August 8, 2008.

It was reported that over 20 flights between Beijing and Shanghai will be affected. Some will be canceled or delayed. There will be no flight flying from Shanghai to Beijing at 15:22-24:00 on August 8, 2008.

What for? Why should the opening ceremony affect the flights? Is it because of some terrorist threat that some suicidal loony will dive into the bird's nest or something?
