I will be traveling to China perhaps sometime soon, and was wondering about breakfast. At home, I normally eat a high-fiber wheat/bran cereal (like that pictured) with low-fat cow's milk. How available are these types of food in larger cities, such as Nanjing?

Cereals are readily available in some of the larger supermarkets like Metro, Carrefour, Walmart ane New Century. There are also a few boutique stores selling International products in some of the larger cities like Chengdu, Guangzhou, Beijing etc. Not sure about Nanjing but you could post a thread on one of the Nanjing Expat websites

Keep in mind that these will be more expensive than normal. I pay about AU Y7 for a small packet of ALLBRAN 200/250 gms

Milk is available in all supermarkets both fresh and long life.

If you're coming from the US, I gotta tell you the milk is not the same. the best milk i found is carried by carrefour and its made by nestle. Still its not the same, its creamier and tastes a little bit off, but its good substitute.
