![]() | On July 17, China’s Ministry of Public Security issued a Citizen’s Anti-terrorist Handbook to help its citizens to survive terrorist attacks. The handbook aims to teach citizens how to discover potential terrorist attacks and how to respond in the event of terrorist attacks. 39 scenarios of terrorist attacks such as explosion, kidnap, arson, and even attacks of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons were included in the handbook. As the Olympics is approaching, Beijing is gearing up security checks. Terrorists are an illusive cell in nature. They always popped up to disrupt world’s major events and revive people’ fear. It is necessary for Beijing to issue such a manual in last-minute run-up for the Olympic Games. ![]() |
