What about Kanas lake in mid october

I plan to go to north Xinjiang on 11-26 october this year. Do it possible to go there at that time, what 's about the weather, road accessible and scenery? Is it too late to go there?

It maybe snow on end of October. You feel cold on the Kanas Lake on your time. The best time to go is from May to September. So I suggest you move up your date to go North of Xinjiang.

GUESTJERRY What would Kanas Lake area look like on the 3rd week of October? Would fall colurs still be as good as September for photography?

It's a little late. THe best time to admire autumn scene is late september to early october. It depends.
