Brian, an Englishman had always felt a bit different.
Small in stature, he had clearly not been blessed with anything approaching good looks or a personality to counter his other shortcomings.
He felt that he was trapped in the wrong body.
He finally went to see his doctor to talk about it and explained that he felt deep inside he was really Irish.
The doctor immediately recommended him to a specialist in Harley Street.
Well Brian, the specialist said,” This is the most unusual case I have ever heard but I can fix it” “The procedure will mean that half of you brain will have to be removed. It is however extremely dangerous as too much could leave you a complete idiot.”

Brian had suffered for years in silence and at last saw some light at the end of the tunnel.
“Book me in as soon as you can Doc” he said with a quiver in his voice and a tear in his eye.
The procedure went ahead soon after.

Lying in the recovery room swathed in bandages Brian slowly came round.
The doctor was on hand as he slowly regained conciseness.
“Brian, I’m sorry to say we made some small error and removed a little too much grey matter”
Brian looked up and for the first time in years the biggest smile you have ever seen came to his face and he started to hum and then sing, first in a low whisper that broke out into a full roar….Home, home on the range, were the deer and……

Don't take my comments too seriously. Most of them are "out in left field" anyway.
