Countless people in the world envy Bill Gates because of his enormous wealth. Bill Gates’ decision to donate all his property to a charity foundation rather than letting his children to inherit the money has aroused global attention and spark a debate in China. Bill Gate’s way of handling personal wealth humiliates countless weathy Chinese. Some rich Chinese entrepreneurs would think Gates was stupid. “Donate such an enormous amount of money to charity, he must go mad!”

A wannabe-upstart says in an online forum: “if I were Bill Gates, I would buy two bowls of rice, eat one bowl and throw away one bowl; I would buy thousands of Mercedez Benz and BMV autos and drive a new car each day; I would leave half of my property to my children. Luckily, he didn’t say that he would take so much wealth to his grave.”

Bill Gates’s deed proves that it is disgraceful to inherit huge amount of property without having to work hard.
What would youd do, if you were Bill Gates?

What good will it do if you throw a bowl of rice?

How many Mercedez Benz can you drive at a time?

Brains. Use it or lose it.

I do agree with not leaving huge amounts for your children, after all you worked for it so why yshould they just get it without doing anything.

The classic example of this is Paris Hilton, she will inherit many millions but she can barely have a conversation because she is so gormless.

It's his money and his decision. We don't have to agree with his choice. I'd leave it to my family and friends with stipulations.

GRIZ326 ,yes,it is his money and his decision, but it is a wise decision which benifit lot of people who is in need instead of waste it.If i were him,i will leave 1 million to my kids and specified amount to my relatives and friends who is in need.

Same as what Davec said leaving huge amount to our kid will make them just get it without doing anything. But without leaving anything to them is also unproper since they might be in big difficult one day helplessly,i perfer to leave some amount to them ,so it would help them more or less sometimes...
