By late Monday, it has weakened into tropical storm. According to the provincial meteorological observatory of Fujian Province, the eye of Typhoon Fung Wong landed at Donghan Town, Fuqing City with winds of 119 kilometers every hour. The tropical storm would continue heading towards northwest. It is anticipated to reach Jiangxi Province late on Tuesday. Zhejiang Province was also heavily affected by Typhoon Fung Wong. Some rivers were flooded. 16 flights in Wenzhou City were canceled and several freeways were shut down. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated to higher ground.
