I've heard some rumors that entertainment outlets like clubs and discos might be closed for the duration of the Olympic games. Any truth to this or it's just rumors?

I've heard from a friend who's studying in Beijing that some of the nightlife places in Beijing have been closed till 20/9.

I heard from my friend's friend who is based in Guangzhou. So that means this closure of entertainment outlets will be nationwide and not just around Beijing? Funny there is no mention in the Chinese press...

I haven't noticed anything in Shanghai... but then I've been busy packing recently so I'm not out roaming the streets at night!

I heard that a lot of bars and barber shops have been closed in some areas of Beijing.
I think in an effort to clean up the night life。
