tourist visa duration

my boyfriend and i are looking to go to china in september, i've been to china twice but its his first time. does anyone know what the current duration of tourist visas is? or how to get them longer if possible?

Better to wait until October after the Paralympics. Visas are so much harder to obtain at the moment and you have to show hotel bookings. There is no standard duration, it depemds on the issuing office, but if you get a visa it is likely to shorter than in other times.

You need to say which country you are from as it differs for different nationalities.

I would say 30 days, though a German has just reported you get exactly what you need for the booked hotels/trip. After thge Olympics u should be able to get 3 monthsit's never guaranteed.

I think most people from the US get 12 month validation on L visas as standard? Your maximum one time stay will probably be 3 months, but if you have a double entry, you can stay for 6 months (providing you leave and return after 3). However, that may not be the case at the moment.
