Today, the Anti-Monopoly Law of PRC comes into effect. But how will it be implemented and affect both Chinese and foreign companies is still a uncertainty. Another concern for the foreign companies is whether it will be implemented fairly to Chinese and foreign companies.

The American Chamber of Commerce PRC and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China also welcomed the law. Meanwhile, they urged that China should make clarification about the rules and make related detaled provisions on how to implement this law.

After this law takes effect, many people are concerned about who will be the first accused in China. Microsoft and Intel are the main targets. It is said that some companies have prepared to sue MS. However, Intel has said that they aren't afraid that they will be accused. it seems that Intel is very confident about itself. Compared with Intel, MS seems a bit nervous. As we know, MS has been accused many times. This year, the European court has made a verdict that MS has violated the anti-monopoly law and fined about 497 million Euros.

Do you think MS will be the first accused in China? What do you think of the Anti-Monopoly Law?

A law that will benefit the Chinese consumers provided the law is strictly enforced.
However, from past experience in the U.S., the laws meant to protect the citizens eventually become neutralized or useless because of intervention from the corporations in the form of lobbying or outright "gift giving" to those responsible for the enforcement.
If this happens in China, I hope their "rears" are put behind bars and the keys thrown away.(or worse)
The U.S. would never do this as the corruption is too great and past the point of "no return"
