guest24311 hello-

i'm heading to china for september and into october and i'm trying to budget my trip but it seems rather impossible to find the fares online for various trips- does anyone know of a good website to find fares?

in particular i'm looking for trains from hong kong to shanghai, shanghai to beijing, beijing to chengdu, chengdu to chongqing, chongqing to kunming, kunming to guangzhou

then bus fares from kunming to lijiang and kunming to jinghong

if anyone has any insight i'd really appreciate it!

Go to the tab at the top of the pages in this website and you will see a train tab on the right. You can look up all the trips u want. In my experience most are correct though a few have been inaccurate. Note that different types of trains have different prices. No aircon is always the cheapest, then I think it is trains without a letter in fromt of the number, then N then K then T then Z, then D. Hard seats are in fact soft but 5 across the carriage, and the cheapest, soft seats are about the same as hard sleeper, then soft sleeper. Good buses are usually about the same as soft seats, buty some local buses are cheaper.
