Last Friday, the Chinese stock market welcomed a small increase of 2.19 percent. Some shares even went up to their limits. Many investors were encouraged by this and thought that it was the Olympics that made the stocks go up. However, things might be different as they imagined. B shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen both fell, 1.90 and 1.62 compared with the previous day.

As Beijing Olympics approaches (This Friday, the Opening Ceremony of Beijing Olympics will be held), many investors believe that the stock markets will be "lit up" by the Olympics too. They guess that the central government will do something to encourage the market. A-share market will bounce back soon.

What do you think? Can the Olympics light the stock market?
