Is it easy to buy a train ticket : Lhasa -Beijing? Can we do it on our own or must we contact a tour operator.
We want a flight : Beijing-Lhasa and the train back

I think it should be relatively easy getting a Lhasa -- Beijing train ticket once you reach Lhasa.

Whether it is easy to buy train ticket from Lhasa to Beijing will depend on your date. It may be difficult to buy on your own in August and September.
The best way is that take by the train from Beijing to Lhasa and by flight coming back.
