![]() | Don't shed tears as long as you have tried your best! In the ongoing Olympic Games, we have seen a number of athletes shed tears. It in unnecessary. You are not a loser as long as you have tried hard. Why do some athletes shed tears after losing the competition? Whey can't they suppress the emotion? Chinese athlete Zhu Qinan sheds tears after claiming the silver medal in 10 meters Air Pistol Men. He was the defended champion of the Olympic event. ![]() |

![]() | He has done a good job. We are not them and we can't understand how much pressure they have burdened. This reminds me of another athlete, Du Li. She has burdened too much pressure. Defending the champion is really hard. Few shooters can successfully defend their champions. Zhu shed tears because he thought that he failed to live up to his motherland and his supporters' expectations. Sometimes, great expectations can kill those athletes. |

![]() | It is because they feel disappointed they didnt win. For some time before the event they are told by others and also tell themselves they will win. This is the positive mental attitude that you need to take into competition otherwise you are just taking part. Of course when you realise you didnt win then all that pressure comes as a shock. |

![]() | Sorry, I haven't finished the input. Pressed the wrong button! Zhu Qinan was the gold medalist of the 10 meters Air Rifle Men in 2004. He dreamt to claim the Gold medal again at home. He might be too hard on himself. It seems to him that silver medal means failure. He is only 24. Four years later, he still has a chance. |

![]() | Anyone who can compete in the Olympics is a true hero. But part of pushing oneself so hard comes with great disappointment at losing. Remember, this is the absolute TOP of any of the amateur sports, and these people are true heroes. But the worst pain comes from disappointing yourself and those who have expections of you and for you. Even winners shed tears, since such competition is an intense emotional experience. I don't think badly of anyone who can let their emotions out like that, winning or losing. |
