Shopping from Royal Parklane Hotel, Pudong to Naning Road

is it feasible to travel to Nanjing Road for shopping and seeing the sights in Shanghai from my hotel, on a daily basis? and is it best to get a taxi to Malgev train station then go into the city from there or to get a taxi direct from hotel into the city??
I am staying at the Royal Parklane International Hotel for a Pet Expo , close to the Shanghai Expo Centre in Pudong

Not an ideal location for sightseeing at all.
I would personally prefer to get a taxi to the metro and then take the metro to sightseeing. If you're coming back late at night then it's more convenient to take a taxi directly back to your hotel from wherever you are.
