GM plans to sell “Hummer” brand
Aug 19, 2008 01:40
GM is evaluating the prospect of ‘Hummer’. As the oil price is surging, the military vehicle Hummer became obsolete. The big ‘oil-guzzler’ frightened heaps of consumers away. GM is now on the edge of bankruptcy. ‘Selling the unpopular Hummer’ might be a dose of good medicine for GM. Companies from India, China and Russia are interested in buying out “Hummer” brand. GM took over “Hummer’ in 1999. A decade later, GM is bidding farewell to Hummer.

Hummer is not economical. No company from India or China would buy out the Hummer. In 1990s, Arnold Schwarzenegger bought a Hummer. His American fans followed him. The demand was surging at that time.
