It is reported that more than 3.8 million women drivers have admitted they wear no short-sighted glasses while driving. Instead, about 26 percent of them wear sun glasses. Why? Because they think that it is embarrassing to wear short-sighted glasses. And 42 percent of the women drivers who have vision problems reply on the passengers to read the road signs for them. Horrible! They just risk their lives by wearing sun glasses.

On August 18th, UK announced a new traffic rule, which said that those drivers who had car accidents while sending text messages, having meals, applying make-up etc would be punished seriously. If somebody was killed in the car accident when the driver was distracted by their behaviours mentioned above, they might face 14 years imprisonment.

I think that UK should set new regulations on those female drivers too.

She looks cool, doesn't she? If she was near-sighted, do you think she is still cool?

Well, glasses are not the only option. I can only speak for myself. I am near-sighted that’s why I am wearing contact lens all the time. I can only see near objects if I am not wearing them. I wouldn’t be able to read the road signs. If someone is waving at me, I wouldn’t recognize who they are and they would think that I snubbed them. So on top of wearing contacts, I also wear sunglasses when I am driving because I don’t want to be distracted by the bright sunlight. In fact, I wear them everytime I am outside because I can barely open my eyes due to the brightness. It works for me. I drive alone all the time so I cannot depend on anyone to read the signs for me. Yea, I read the maps too, but not while I am driving. I have never been on an accident.

It would be illegal to drive if you couldn't read the road signs from the requred distance, sunglasses wouldn't make any difference to your vision.
I'm long sighted myself but I don't drive these days anyway.

Absolutely beauty. Otherwise they would wear their near-sighted glasses. The most interesting thing is that a girl who wears a pair of sun glasses bumped at the post on the street. Why did she bump at the post? Because she was near sighted. With her sun glasses, she couldn't see there was a post in front of her.
