Why doesn't the PetrolChina reduce the number of its leaders?
Aug 26, 2008 04:23
guest7440 Since the oil prices have surged too high, the PetrolChina has announced to reduce the number of their stuffs in order to reduce the cost. It is reasonable that a company cut down the number of the staffs when it doesn't make profit. But PertrolChina only reduce the number of their ordinary staffs. As for those leaders, they needn't worry of being laid off. Isn't it strange? People have talked about this heatedly. Why does PetrolChina only cut down the number of ordinary workers? Are they the only persons who should be responsible for great losses of the PetrolChina?

It’s like that in every company. The staff doesn’t have any decision-making powers so they are the first ones to go. Surely you don’t expect the CEO, President and Directors to fire themselves, do you?

Besides, don’t people admire rich people just for being rich, making many people want to be rich as well? It’s a vicious circle.
