After the ceremonies, the Bird Nest has been known to the world. Right now, Bird Nest is seeking post name sponsors. It is said that the operator of the Bird Nest has talked with at least 6 companies from China and the world. The potential buyers include Lenovo Group Ltd., Adidas AG and Coca-Cola Co. etc. However, they haven't reached an agreement yet. The main problem must the price of naming rights for Bird Nest. It is report that any company who want to gain the right need to pay at least hundreds of millions of dollars. Is it necessary to pay so much money just for the naming rights of the Bird Nest? JSUMMERS83 Points: Join Date: Apr 30, 2008 Status: Offline	I realize they need to make some money to pay for this expensive stadium, but I think that whoever eventually pays money for naming rights will be throwing it down the drain. Everyone in China will forever know this stadium as "The Bird's Nest", so any other name just won't stick.

Jsummer, you are right. Most people call it "Bird Nest". Even National Stadium is seldom used. As for Adidas, Coca-Cola and lenovo, Adidas said it doesn't put its name on venues anywhere in the world. Coke said it wouldn't comment on its future marketing activities. Lenovo didn't respond to a request for comment. So probably Coke or Lenovo might gain the naming right of the Bird Nest (if there is no black horse).
