The World No.1 as well as No.1 seed of US Open was beaten by a French player Coin who ranks as No.188 in the second round. Ivan also made a record----the first No.1 Seed of US Open who was eliminated very earlier in recent 40 years. How sad it is! At Wimbledon, Ivan was eliminated by China' Zheng Jie. She had planed to take part in Beijing Olympics but failed finally due to her injury (her finger and knee got injured). Due to her injury, she hasn't practiced very much after Beijing Olympics. Perhaps, that is why she lost to Coin.

KATRINA Points: Join Date: Nov 29, 2004 Status: Offline	After quitting from the US Open, Ivan has been criticized by many people. Many guys think that she is not worthy of the title of World No.1. I am sorry to hear her quit. Anyway, just hope she can come back very soon and use her victory to let those critics shut up.
