British teens becoming sexually bolder
Aug 29, 2008 03:35
A new study conducted by YouGov suggests that British teenagers have become sexually bolder. About 2,000 young people aged between 16 and 24 participated in the survey. 69% believe that elieve the media portrays them as sex maniacs. Social networking sites like Bebo facebook Myspace have helped teenagers share and find more info aobut sex.

Noticeably, British cult TV drama “Skins” had a dramatic impact on teenage sexuality. 1/3 of teens said they immited characters from the cult TV to have sex at a party. Many teenagers thought the young “sex maniacs” from the cult TV drama were a true reflection of British teens today.

What went wrong with the British culture? A cult TV drama can have such a dramatic impact on teens’ behavior.

TIC, by your post I presume you are not British.
A cursory look at British social history of the 19th and 20th century will show that under a very thin veneer of supposed culture, which was always a myth to moralise on the reasons for colonization, lay a brutal mob ready to erupt at any time, sometimes for the shear joy of brutality.
Young men who in the past would have been shipped off to fight the Fuzzy Wuzzies have now become football fans. They can be seen regularly roaming the World like modern day Attila’s.
Fornication has always been a favorite pastime as it was and is the only thing that government has not put a tax on. If they could find a way I’m sure they would.
So I read this report as just another beat-up and perhaps another excuse for another government department to add another social program to justify it’s reason for existence.
Dodger.

Sorry, not enough space to type.

In a brief, lack of respect, generation of money sponging chavs, pathetic government, etc etc etc etc etc

Hey, what do you think of the quality of British education? I have heard that the universities in UK enrolled overseas students for the sake of financial concern. That is to say, if you have money, you can get enrolled regardless of your academic performance.

They say money can't buy everything, but it can buy you an education in the UK. The standards of university education in the UK (at least the better universities) are very high. You can be really dense and rich, and still go to Oxford or Cambridge.

Chinese teenagers are not better off. They have become sexually border. I don't want to see China confronts "the Sexual Revolution" as Western countries have experienced in 1960s.
