I am planning a trip to the Silk Road for about 10-12 days..
Can anyone help me :
When is the best time to travel.
As time is limited , what sort of itinery is advised, where do I start ?
Is it advisable to travel by myself or to join a organised group.
Any health precautions to take ?
And anyone interested to join me ?

You should start from xi'an where the silk road starts. In terms of your time. I recomand you choose group one.You don't have to worry abt transportation, accomodation.
As for me the early autumn is the best season.
