"Am I unfaithful? I am sorry, it's all my genes." Maybe, this will be men's best excuse for their disloyalty to their marriages.

The Sweden researchers have found out that the "divorce gene" in men's bodies will determine how the brain responds to a chemical that is central to the bonding process between a man and a woman. To be exact, it is genetic variant "334" version, or allele.

"Those with two copies of it were twice as likely to report having had a marital crisis. Women married to men who carry one or two copies of (the gene) were, on average, less satisfied with their relationship than women married to men who didn't carry it."

Well, I am hoping that the scientists can find out the cure to the gene. Otherwise, the divorce cases will grow rapidly.

This has been known for years. Men are always likely to stray from long term relationships because humans are mammals. Look at nearly all other mammals and you will find a dominant male with a hareem of females. It is genetic, and only modern society dictates that this is wrong.

GUEST2481 Fine! Now I am considering to have a test for my boyfriend to see if he has "divorce genes". If he has, "time to say goodbye".

Just an excuse. If it is really about genes, every man should have tests before getting married. Then their future wives will decide if they are going to marrry them.
