my friend ben and me will be leaving huangshan destined to shanghai on the 16th of october. we were thinking of taking a train (overnight train, if anyone can tell me accurate times of the train leaving that would be great!) but someone recommended a bus to travel (apparently takes 6 hours). I would definately like to travel at night and not waste any of out traveling time during the day. any recommendations? i'm leaning towards the train.
ALSO, is is hard to get train tickets a day or 2 in advance (on a wednesday, in this case traveling to shanghai from huangshan)? does anyone think i'll have a problem getting them or should i perhaps get some in advance from my hostel (ask them to buy them for me)?
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE!!!

There appear to be 2 night trains, tho one is not aircon. See: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/display1.asp?from1=huangshan&to1=shanghai&Submit32=SUBMIT, tho it might not be the latest info. the trip is 12/13 hours. It would definitely be a good idea to have the hostel get the tickets for you. Otherwise you should get a bus, again ask the hostel you have booked into.
