Kunming - Dali Train Questions

guest01124 few questions hope someone can help:

I found the train info as follows:

1) Soft Sleeper for both upper and lower berth but also mentioned the upper is a hard seat but the lower is a soft seat, how is it actually ?

2) Even the day trains are the same, is there any day train that have seats only ?

3) If I take the upper, do I get to see the views from any window ? Upper means I must "lay staright all the way" and no seating room ?

1) Huh? You're not making sense. Sleepers are sleepers and seats are seats. These two are not the same and neither do both co-exist in the same carriage.
2) Most day trains have only seats. Why?
3) Upper bunk? No, you're free to sit on the aisle's flip-down seats anytime, and also on the lower bunk in the daytime. You're not obliged to lie on your bunk all the time!
