[Mt. Huashan] Day trip from Xi'an possible?

guest14157 Hi, is it possible to climb Mt. Huashan without staying overnight if I were to leave from Xi'an first thing in the morning?

I plan to catch the earliest long distance bus that departs from the terminal beside the Xi'an train station. How long will it take to ascend and descent Huashan? I want to make sure I can still catch the last bus going back to Xi'an.

Possible, but you might not see much as it would be rather rushed.
I think it takes maybe 7 hours each way if you really want to climb and not take the cable car!
