| What's the difference between 知音 and 朋友？ | |

| guest7004 | I know that 朋友 is equal to friend in English. But what does 知音 mean? Some online dictionary says that 知音 is the same as 朋友. Somebody tells me that 知音 is almost the same as good friend. Is it true? How about 知己? I saw 红粉知己 or 蓝颜知己 somewhere. What do they mean? |

 | about 知音there has a stroy in ancinent China: a guy play a song in musical instrument without sing and another guy can understand his mood totally from his music. 音 in chinese means music, later, we use 知音 to refer to someone who can understand whose inner heart their heart are very close to each other. we have many friends through our life but we have seldom 知音. 知己 is nearly the same as 知音, 红粉知己 or 红颜知己: if you are a man, your 知己 is female,she is your 红颜知己.. |
