Veteran CCTV News Host Luo Jing Confirm poor health

Luo Jing, one of China Central Television's (CCTV) leading presenters, has not been seen on daily evening news broadcasts recently. He confirmed his poor health in an telephone interview with Chongqing Evening News.

Earlier, a netizen posted an online message saying that Luo Jing suffered from cancer and was hospitalised in Beijing Tumor Hospital.
Luo said that he didn't undergo an operation. He was upbeat and believed in the modern medical technologies.

Luo Jing co-anchored CCTV's national news program "Xinwen Lianbo", or News Broadcast, for the past twenty years.
The program has been broadcast at 7 PM every evening for the last 30 years in China

The anchor last appeared on-air on August 31st this year.
