Another visa question

guest95912 Hi,

I have a return ticket to Shanghai and my plan is to directly take a flight to Philippines. On my way back I will stay for a couple of days in Shanghai.

Do I need a Single entry visa or a Double entry visa then?

Thanks for your help

When you land at Shanghai, do you know if you need to change terminals (or ever airports)? If so, then you will need a double entry. If not, then you won't need to clear immigration and can just have the single entry for when you return.

See the last note in post three: http://community.travelchinaguide.com/forum2.asp?i=42662

If you are simply passing thgrough Shanghai on the way to the Philipines, and already have the ticket, you should not need a visa. I was issued a free 24 hours "permit to stay" at Shanghai airport in similar circumstances so you should only need a single entry visa which you can use on the return flight. DANGER: you will have to be careful that they do not try to use your visa on the way out. As few officials at the airport understand English, I suggest you ask someone to write a brief note in Chinese to show.
