![]() | When you land at Shanghai, do you know if you need to change terminals (or ever airports)? If so, then you will need a double entry. If not, then you won't need to clear immigration and can just have the single entry for when you return. |

I was issued a free 24 hours "permit to stay" at Shanghai airport in similar circumstances so you should only need a single entry visa which you can use on the return flight. DANGER: you will have to be careful that they do not try to use your visa on the way out. As few officials at the airport understand English, I suggest you ask someone to write a brief note in Chinese to show. |
