Do you like sweet food? If you like, please learn to make this dish---boiled lotus root with sticky rice and dates. When I saw this dish first time, I thought it was meat, ham or something. After eating a piece, I knew that it was not, just lotus root with sticky rice. Well, it tastes good if you like sweet food.

Please look at the picture. Doesn't it look like ham or some kind of meat?

Here is the recipe:

Materials: sticky rice, lotus root, dates, rock sugar and matrimony vine.

Step 1 Soak sticky rice in the water for several hours, wash and peel lotus root and then cut off both ends (keep them, they are still useful). Then stuff lotus root with sticky rice. Please try your best to stuff as much as you can.

Step 4 When the water in the boiler almost evaporates, the dish will be done.

Please wait until it is cool. Then cut them into pieces. When eating, better spread some honey on them. It tastes better in that way. If you don't have honey, you can use the left juice in the boiler.
