How many characters should I learn?

guest3610 How many Chinese characters should I learn to read Chinese stuff, for example, Chinese newspapers? Somebody told me that HSK (汉语水平考试) required 1600, 2200, 2900 for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, respectively. If I passed HSK Advanced level, could I read those newspapers? What about some legal, computer newspapers?

You can find a Chinese teacher to teach the Chinese language， you can see the Chinese programs on cctv, and listen to Chinese radio is also very good! In addition, you can also Xinhua Dictionary (English as the Longman Dictionary of the same) you will not find the Chinese characters
