The storms triggered more than 30 landslides and cut off the Dujiangyan-Wenchuan highway, a crucial highway for quake relief in the region. Other areas in Sichuan Province have also been hit, including Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan, Deyang, Leshan, Guangyuan and Ya’an cities. The relief workers have working round the clock to save lives and clear off the roadblocks along the Dujiangyan-Wenchuan highway.
