As you all know I take photos of landscape images, mostly China.
yesterday I added a section to my website of the people of China.
Its just a start but something I will add to on my travels.
Let me know what you think.

Very good start, Dave. Your people eye is not as well tuned as your landscape/scenic eye yet, but I'm sure it will be in no time at all.

666300, it's Dave's good eye that takes the good pictures, not the camera :-)

Griz is right, the camera is a tool, it wont make anyone take better pictures.
Currently I use Nikon gear, D200 with variety of lenses. But a few of the photos are taken using a £99 Casio pocket compact of only 7MP, I am sure nobody can tell me which ones.
Get a camera that suits your needs and learn about it, know its strengths and limitation.

I remember selling cameras years ago and I sold a leica to a customer, he spent £4500 on the camera and lens, then wanted to buy out dated film at £1 a roll. It is like owning a Ferrari and putting cheap tyres on it.
It is just a tool, it is up to the photographer to use it.

Thanks for the honesty Griz, the photos are not on a par with my landscapes. I wanted to show the people in their landscape rather than the full on images of people close up, like portraits.
I always think that head and shoulder images are nice but dont give any sense of where these people come from.
